Not just knives
« on: June 12, 2009, 12:44:08 PM »
We know how Customs is trying to go after knives, but another issue is also hiding behind the fake "Flu pandemic".
I just got this E Mail

Thomas,
Confirmation hearings are about to begin for a new FCC
Chairman that could pose a grave threat to conservative
speech. Please see the message below from our friends at
the Media Research Center who are taking proactive action
to protect and preserve our Free Speech Rights.

Grassroots Action, Inc.
(Formerly Grassfire.net Services)

+++++++

After months of delays, we've just learned that the Senate
Commerce Committee will hold a confirmation hearing this
coming Tuesday, June 16 to consider President Obama's pick
for FCC Chairmain, Julius Genachowski-a strong proponent of
"diversity" in the media.

Thomas, as we've previously explained, diversity in
broadcasting is an even more insidious attack on Free
Speech Rights because it empowers the government to censor
and control the airwaves through backdoor policies that
could be expanded to include television, newspapers and
the Internet!

++ The Timing is Perfect for the MRC Action Team to Respond!

The timing of this hearing couldn't be more perfect!

Over the last two weeks, MRC Action Team members have buried
Congressmen beneath an avalanche of hundreds of thousands of
petitions, faxes, and calls - each demanding our Free Speech
Rights be protected and preserved by bringing the Broadcaster
Freedom Act to the floor for a vote.

We've made it clear to lawmakers on Capitol Hill that we won't
be bullied or intimidated into silence.

Now, we need to focus this message like a laser on the Senators
that will be questioning Mr. Genachowski next Tuesday. We need
them to ensure that he will not threaten conservative speech
if he is confirmed as FCC Chairman.

It's vitally important that Mr. Genachowski hears your voice
on Tuesday, Thomas!

++ Petition Delivery to the Senate Commerce Committee Next Week!

On the day of the hearing, the MRC will deliver ALL of your
petitions to both the chairman and the ranking Republican
of the Senate Commerce Committee-again sending notice that
we will not stand silent while liberal lawmakers plan ways
to silence the conservative voice!

Thomas, with the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 16,
we have a very short window within which to act...

That's why are asking you to do two very important things right
now. First, take a moment to sign our petition and join the
nearly 400,000 citizens who are standing for Free Speech Rights
in America.:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=19627&RID=20742578

Then, after signing the petition, forward this message to 30-35
friends- urging them to stand with you in defense of our Free
Speech Rights by clicking here now:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=19627&RID=20742578

Every petition that is signed between now and noon on Monday
will be added to the nearly 400,000 we already have and presented
directly to the Senate Commerce committee leadership!

If not for the intense grassroots outcry against the return of
the so-called "Fairness" Doctrine, liberals in Congress would
have already moved to put it back into place--effectively
silencing free speech on the airwaves.

We cannot allow that to happen, and we are counting on your
help to stop it!

Thanks for your defense of Free Speech and your outstanding
support of the MRC.

The Media Research Center

P.S: With the Genachowski confirmation hearing coming up on
Tuesday, the MRC is looking to make a strong final push in our
fax initiative to Congress. If you haven't yet scheduled your
personalized faxes to Congress urging them to bring the
Broadcaster Freedom Act to the floor for a vote, please
do so right now by clicking here:

Yeah, well, why not? bho's already dismantled most of this country while we stood by and made stupid frog-in-boiling-water comments, so who's gonna stop him?

Looks like we are seriously losing the soft war folks. So what's next, we roll over and acquiesce?

Myself, and most of the people I work with, all carry some form of a inside the pocket "clipped"  pocket knife.

I can open them all with "one hand"

That's a BIG Negative Pathfinder! The pressure cooker will hold just a little while longer, hopefully some mid term elections in 2010, may give a reality slap to some politicians. Harry Reid going home would be a good start. Others of course.

I understand. Let him and Tom Daschle drive around skimming state owned cars for free, at least he will be out of Washington.

Hopefully the voters in Nevada will send the same message next year.

Reid is an asshole, but he isn't even in the top 10 of the problems we have. His saving grace is that he is pro-2A, but that is damning with faint praise. By midterms the damage will have been done - hell, it's already done. The economy is in the crapper and is being made worse every day. bho runs around like there are no laws constraining him while he implements his own version of Marx' Manifesto and there are damned few in DC saying anything, let alone trying to stop anything.

Face it - if bho keeled over from a heart attack tomorrow, do you seriously think for 1 second that things would go back to the way they were on November 3, 2008? Not a chance. When was the last time the Feds undid anything? (94 AWB doesn't count - that required inaction) Will customs drop their knife thing? Will Brady stop their machinations with the Feds? Will all of the people who received the nearly $3 trillion give it back? Will Rahm Emanuel go back to Chicago now that he's tasted real power?

bho has purposefully poisoned the economy, the marketplace, private industry, and the Federal bureaucracy. Anyone who tries to undo it all of that will have the press and bureaucracy against him, and the press will have screaming hordes with torches at the gates of the WH in no time.

Damn, I am really pessimistic these days!  >:(

Your correct. The Libs have already stated there is opportunity in a crises, and BHO needs them to enable the dependance of the gov't on the sheeple.

Where is the minority party? When the Dems were in the minority they would run their mouth every damn day, whining, bashing, fighting (verbally), etc,... It even picked up momentum and they won elections.

They will not stop on knives, guns, CEO pay, running companies, outspending even the previous admin, or sticking the gov't's nose in all they can.

I'm aware of the 2nd Amend march, where are the others?

Here's something scary to read:

"The Fascist conception of the State is all-embracing; outside of it no human or spiritual values can exist, much less have value. Thus understood, Fascism is totalitarian, and the Fascist State--a synthesis and a unit inclusive of all values--interprets, develops, and potentiates the whole life of a people...The Fascist State lays claim to rule in the economic field no less than in others; it makes its action felt throughout the length and breadth of the country by means of its corporate, social, and educational institutions, and all the political, economic, and spiritual forces of the nation, organised in their respective associations, circulate within the State."

***** Rings kinda true doesn't it *****
Who wrote it?

Benito Mussolini, 1935, The Doctrine of Fascism
BHO's playbook.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
