Little Mig15 inspired model I did last night, I'll texture it today, and then, maybe do a fun little vid where they fight each other.  But they'll both end up exploding!!!   Not a realistic model, but I found this style to be more fun.

The Plane is a Goodyear built F4U 4N version with the radar pod on the wing as they were used in Korea.

Nope. Goodyear only built a few -4 Corsairs and none of them were delivered to the Navy because to do so would have obligated them to deliver ALL the spare parts and support materials for the entire (huge) contract, which was cancelled. Goodyear built -1A and -1D versions of the Corsair, as well as the Wasp Major-powered F2Gs.

Also, that's an F4U-5N (Vought built, of course), not a -4N. There were NO production -4Ns. There was ONE prototype -4N built but the -4N never went into production. The prototype -4 Corsair was at one point fitted with a radar pod for aerodynamic trial purposes only but it was never fitted with working radar.

I've done a pretty fair amount of research on the -4 through -7 Corsairs, maybe you could tell.
