It is one thing to expect respect, and the office does demand respect regardless of who is holding it.  He was showing full respect to her and the office.  However, she removed all respect from the title with her selfish demand  >:(

Senator is a position, not a title. When the position is taken away, she will still be an arogant and ignorant bitch. >:(
Just needed the slightest addition.

How unbelievably arrogant can these people get! When did they forget that they are public SERVANTS!!!

I swear I've gotta stop with the news or I'm going to feel a jolt in my chest and it'll be all over for me!

If they were actually public servants we could put them in their place. The fact that we are impotent to do so shows that we are their servants.
Rights are like muscles, when they are not exercised they atrophy.

Wow...why is this even an issue? Aren't there more important things to be worried about?

OK...Boxer is not good. She "earned" her position because there was no one that the Republicans in our state could put up against her that was worth a shit. She ran against inexperienced junior politicians in a state that is always going to vote for democrats for senator. She is the chief of the entitlement crowd here.

The general did the right thing. When she said to call her senator, he did and moved on. You don't see him whining or bitching about being told in a rude and disrespectful manner to "call me senator".  In the meantime bored people with an axe to grind are making more of this than it is worth. Was she rude...yes...is she a bitch...yes. These things are known, have been for years and doesn't surprise me a bit.

Your missing the point here. If she had a problem with the General calling her ma'am, then she should have spoken to him in private. By throwing a fit about it out in the open like she did, she just made herself look like a spoiled brat. And by doing so took the focus off the subject matter and put the focus on her.

Ask yourself this: In a week will any one remember what the hearing was about, or will the only remember that "Senator" Boxer (I thought that was a breed of dog) (and I don't call her a bitch, because I don't want to offend my female Beagle) made a complete ass out of herself.
I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

If nothing else, another Kalifornia liberal has shown their true colors; disdain for the military, and anything that resembles class.

The sheeple in CA. unfortunately, will elect them again, after all, they do so much good for their home districts...

I don't think there is a point to be missed. All this is has done is wasted air time on news channels. This isn't the first time this has happened and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Most news channels are a waste of time.

Maybe, just maybe, if the arrogance and lack of class by politicians is shown to the world, everytime, they (politicians), may think before they speak, and not be such a condescending bunch of idiots.

I know,,,,wishful thinking,.....
