I'll have to try that, I can get them "transparent", just head, tail, and ribs, but swimming away would be a challenge. 8)

Have to fillet them as you catch them.

We used to do the same thing in an old pond near here when I was about 14.....until we realized a rather large alligator had taken up residence in said pond.

Peg, you ever think about using that story for the leg, instead of the cycle? Leave off the part about stopping. Tell 'em how you bravely fought the giant beast off - probably great for picking up chicks . . . .

Just wondering.

Yeah.....must say I have told a few younger folks that very thing .........  just to see the expression on their faces.
I told them I was a gator hunter that got a hold of one that was a little too big to handle. Then when I had them thinking the gator got the better of me, I'd show them my boots, hat band, belt, and wallet.....all made of alligator.

That's funny Peg. You really got gator wallet, belt, hat band and boots? Man, that's nice stuff. I have a gator wallet...can"t afford the boots or the rest.

Yep (had)....but not now.
Swapped them to my brother because the boots hurt to walk in. I can't wear boots with a thick heel with my prosthetic. He swapped me a nice pair of ostrich lace-up ropers with low heels. The belt don't fit, so he got that too. I lost out on the deal a little, but at least they got some use. I still have an almost new pair of ostrich and lizard boots I can't wear any more in my closet.

I was a boot fiend for years..... always in search of the perfect pair of boots........... oh the irony.  ;)

Bummer. I didn't think about a prosthetic not working with a thick heel.

I have one pair of tennis shoes in my closet, one pair of good hicking/hunting boots and the rest are cowboy boots. I even wear the cowboy boots with my suits. It's almost required in Texas.

Thank goodness for ropers. I'll bet your ostrich pair are sharp!!!

Sucks about the boots. I don't wer mine as much as I used to back in Tx when they were about all I wore but I do love them. If you take a size 14, maybe we can talk about finding those orphans a home.
