Heck maybe i should be shot because i race a 90's s10 with nasty little small block shoved in it.
My first major project was a small block in a series on LUV that eventually became a stroked 400 small block (if stroking a 350 down to a 302 is good a 400 down had to be better) ... That plus a manual shift turbo 400, cross ram with dual quadra jets, and a "shade tree" locker rearend was a screamer that the Phoenix PD could not even dream of catching

Next venture was a '74 Vega and a 350, turbo 350, limited slip (in the midwest corners are better if you can turn them), and a full cage to make up for the lack of frame.
Damn ... I miss real hotrodding

These new kids only know NOS, turbo and computer chips

Go back to a basic engine, carbs and a junk yard full of spare parts. We could blow it up on Friday night and be back out cruising Saturday ... we could be racing Saturday morning if we wanted to
