Slow down Mr. Revere, we still got two elections  to go.
FQ13

And just why do you think that every bill is an emergency and has to be rushed through congress so fast that no one knows what they are voting on. If we sit on our collective asses while this continues then the next two elections won't matter. They will have burned our sovereignty and sold us out to the U.N.

I have been patient. I was one of the thousands who were ignored at the tea parties. I have been very vocal to my representatives, and while they are doing a good job of fighting Obamunism, they are few. I am starting to worry that in two years we won't be able  to salvage what they have destroyed.
I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

While I agree that it IS a right granted us by our constitution. It is something more than that. It is a responsibility similar to voting or jury duty. It is the right to bear arms that is the iron fist underneath the velvet of free speech. And it is the responsibility of the people to protect this nation from those that would pervert our laws, and our freedoms for their own ends.

Sadly we are witnessing this take place right now. Sweeping tax legislation and our government taking control of every aspect of our lives. This is the tyranny that our founders shed their blood to defeat and we cannot allow it to propagate in our society. The time is drawing near that we sound the alarms, and place the lantern in the window.

The minuteman will ride again.
Beautifully said. I agree ten thousand percent.
“What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that the people preserve the spirit of resistance?”

Thomas Jefferson, 1787

"Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American.... [T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people."
(Tench Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.)
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

because I can  and I can justify it  ;)

I pass all the requirements to be a Law Abiding Firearm Owner  that the Gubbermint has set out   :o  ::)
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

Because when seconds count, the cops are mere minutes away.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Unless you live next to a doughnut shop.  Not likely.

I used to live next door to one of the absolute best Italian beef places in Chicago, in the 1st Ward (Little Italy BTW) - cops were thick as thieves from around 11Am to about 2PM when Vittori's closed - usually double parked in front of the hydrants.
