Keeping the Judge
« on: October 10, 2007, 02:23:23 PM »
I have recently purchased a Taurus Judge and was looking for a way to protect it in the vehicle but keep it easily accessible. Any advice is appreciated.

I'd go with a GunVault* MiniVault, or similar set-up. You can bolt it to the transmission hump, or any other part of your car, and it opens very quickly. There's also a console vault**, but I have no experience with that one.

That is a toughie, and one I've never solved...the gun comes with me. If I can't take it inside a building, I usually lock the gun in the trunk...

Lemme know how those gun vaults work out!

I have and use a LOT, the Sportsafe,  - look here: www.DACTEC.com

I bought extra baseplates, and have four "perches" for it.  Cars, Bedroom, etc.

Have seen them for as little as $50.00 on sale at SportCo.

Not to be agumentative but if you can 'quick release' it from the base wouldn't the bad guys just steal the whole thing?

Quick release latches are inside the safe?

Yes, you cannot get it off the baseplate unless you open it, and empty the lower shelf.
