July 4th TEA Party Report

There was a locally organized TEA Party on the Sunset Coast, MI today. I got there with about an hour left of the scheduled event. I estimate there were about 200 people there. My neighbor who was there earlier said there were perhaps 300 at the beginning. There seemed to be a fair number coming and going so an accurate number total is hard to estimate. Considering the size of the community and it being the 4th I think the turn out was pretty good as many people I'm sure thought they ahd better things to do.
Most were middle aged and older. There were some younger patriots, but not as many as I would have liked to have seen. One young gal that was there I knew, and she had actually told her father about it and brought him. There were a number of veterans there from recent engagements back to WWII. There seem to be about an equal number of men and women. Many were displaying gun rights signs or apparel. I saw at least 4 Gadsden flags. There were also sighns representing other freedom groups and causes.
I did not see any media nor did anyone I asked reported seeing any media. The event organizer also said that he had not seen the media present. I guess they figure if they ignore us we'll go away. There was a professional photographer there by her own accord. I talked to her a bit and this was the third event across the state she has been to in the last few days. She is a member of sevral groups and hopes to have some pictures posted on the web in a few days. I invited her to join DRTV as she likes guns and likes to hunt.

There was one in the Nearby college town of Plymouth today as well. I have not heard how it went as the weather has been crap. They are happening all around the nation but the state run media don't report them so the sheeple don't know anything about it.

We had a great one on the Kansas Missouri line today Lots and lots of people hard to guess as it was several blocks long and on both sides of the street. Only say one news station there. We had a great time and maybe the IIWH will wake up

I wonder if Janine Garafalo (sp?), took up the invite to a tea party, join up with all the homophobe, bigots and racists, that cling to religion and guns type people?
Didn't here about it much on state run media outlets...

We didn't have one here, although there was one on Thursday in the state capitol, as Dakotaranger noted.

I guess we had one here yesterday. Never heard of it beforehand but the local news aired it this morning.
