Also, the form you fill out when making the purchase is for State government is it not?  I know in Michigan all hand guns must undergo an inspection after the purchase, at which time they are "registered to the owner".  I asked a state police officer (who happened to be in a gun store the same time as me, and my question drew a crowd).  If I had a pistol before I moved to this state and never registered it when I moved here is there any record kept that could be used to track that pistol to me?  He said probably not.  Unless a VERY serious Federal crime were commited with it, and FBI became seriously involved, it would likely just go down as being an illegal, but "unregistered weapon".

The only form I fill out is the ATF form. No state registration. Hell, when I moved, I contacted both the old county and the new one (same state) about whether I had to change over the address on the CCW - they both said no, it's a state ID. Even our driver's licenses don't have to be changed physically, just tell them at DOT.

Post-sale registration? State forms? OK, everyone, listen up - do not let this happen in your state. Like Gresham says - no shrug. That means telling the state not only no, but hell no. Work with the NRA and state gun rights groups to get these stupid, immoral, illegal laws changed. They will be used to disarm you when you are least expecting it.

In Nazi / Granholm occupied Michigan we have to get a "Purchase Permit" from a local police station, present it at time of sale, the dealer keeps a copy with which I dont know what they do (keep it or send it off), take two copies back to the police department and present the firearm to them for inspection.  They keep a copy, and you have to keep a copy on your person anytime your in possesion of the handgun.  Doesnt apply to riflles or shotguns.  This was for years called a "saftey inspection".  As of this January the law suits were stacking up to high from people getting hurt from guns that police had inspected for "safety", so they just change it to being called "Registration" (a word they avoided in the past).  And you no longer have to carry your copy of the "registration" once its filed.

Maybe we can secure powerful friends for our cause.  I'm sure many of them are with us already...and with them leading a Grassroots Freedom Movement, it would be hard to ignore...and would have much sway with many more armed forces personnel than we already have with us. 

I know many of us already have ties here...perhaps we should all work to make them with this objective in mind..

People in this country are getting more fed up by the minute. I see it every day. This is one case where silence really is golden. Many are refusing to speak out simply because the left wing controlled media will brand anyone and everyone a "racist" who is the least bit critical of Hussein and his freedom robbing socialist agenda. This is just fueling the fire burning within even further. Hussein will self destruct. It has already started. His blatant printing and spending, (read wasting), of money is all but certain to collapse the dollar.

This will get unquestionably bloody before it all ends. This total fool is destroying lives both personally as well as financially. He is rewarding poor performance, and punishing good. He continues to look for ways to tax anything and everything with a heartbeat. His poll numbers are dropping like a rock. Double digit declines in Ohio, one of the strongest swing states. He appears to be ready, willing, and able to sacrifice his Presidency in the next election to push the strongest possible socialist agenda he possibly can. A true political martyr, if you will. This makes him even more dangerous. Even his fellow Democratic leaders like Harry Reid are backing away from him, since he has become such a far left loose cannon.

Sarah Palin is very smart. She knows she cannot campaign and raise the tremendous amounts of money required to do so from public office. Remember Jimmy Carter? He campaigned for four years. Know one even knew him when he started out. He walked right into the White House. This is a situation of "Pot, Kettle, Black" for the Democrats. They will no doubt criticize Palin for it full well knowing Hussein used his Senate seat to campaign from, for well over 2 years. By the 2012 election Hussein will have this nation so terribly destroyed, most anyone will be able to beat him. The $64,000.00 question is can our nation be saved from this political madman in a suit? There is where the real fear begins!  Bill T.
