Mousegunner's Twelve Commandments of Gun Safety

    * Thou shalt not leave loaded guns lying around the house for kids to play with.
    * Thou shalt not accidentally shoot thyself in thy foot.
    * Thou shalt not fool around or horse-play with thy gun.
    * Thou shalt not spin thy gun like a TV cowboy.
    * Thou shalt not point thy gun at anyone, (ever!) except in self-defense.
    * Thou shalt not get thy wife mad by buying more guns than thou needst.
    * Thou shalt not drink alcoholic beverages and carry a gun simultaneously.
    * Thou shalt stock up ammo against a rainy day.
    * Thou shalt encourage the rising generation to keep and bear arms.
    * Thou shalt carry thy gun perfectly concealed, and not on thy hip, to startle John Q. Public.
    * Thou shalt triple-check that thy guns are unloaded prior to cleaning them.
    * Thou shalt NEVER break any of these rules.

Rule #6........"NEED" is such an ambiguous term, at least in the gun context.

OOPS. I violated the 2nd rule last month. Still on crutches from that one, but I will be ok physically.

My ABCs of gun safety.

Always Assume every gun is loaded and treat it as such.

Be sure it's unloaded by checking the action visually and also by sticking your Bogger hook into the chamber.

C for yourself whether a gun is loaded or not. Don't assume nothing no time. Remember what "assume" will make out of both u and me.

And of course, there's that other "B".
Keep your Booger hook off the Bang switch.
