Yes, I know it is stupid to pay banks while they STILL try to keep deregulation and obscene bonuses, but it appears the new administration didn't realize the depths of depravity of the ultra-rich. It is hard to fix the huge disaster deregulation has led us to, it was naive to believe the people on wall street care about America before an almighty dollar, and you cannot fix a world-wide economic disaster- brought about just like the great depression with dereg and obscene greed- without spending money. Save the "throwing money at it defense I can see coming- throwing money at my car fixes it every time! Speaking of cars, funny how today, like during the depression, the fanciest and most expensive autos of all time were built, huh? Almost makes you think, doesn't it? Hmm, obscene wealth for 1% at a cost to all of US- yes, you too! Seems that allowing that destryed the world economy twice now. Suppress that thought! Govt health care is socialism, you know, like social security that saved millions from living out their years in ill health and crushing poverty. Keep quoting the party line now! The rant about Euro-socialist health care is more like touched. Here is a hint: they live longer with a lower infant mortality than us. The Rep Senator (with govt insurance) crying about the 8 week wait for hip relacement in Canada left out that without insurance here your wait is the rest of your (miserable with pain) life. The wait here is 3 weeks IF you are insured, and (like my shoulder surgury- required by old age and wear according to my doctor) the insurance company can claim (against the doc and surgeon) that it MUST have been a work related accident (even though the heaviest thing I lift is a pencil) and refuse to pay- driving up costs to every one else, robbing the doctor and hospital, and hurting my credit. Congress HAS that health care and-oddly- even the Repubs don't refuse it even though they are ALL millionaires. Likewise, the rant about Govt spending after the Rep orgy of world record spending and deficits. Did you sleep through that? Instead of decrying our progressive tax system that created a decent middle class as "hurting business" perhaps that tiny little detail of our hugely expensive health care that REALLY makes our businesses unable to compete (note GM crushed by this vs Toyota who pays the same but needn't pay stupidly high health insurance which enrichens about 1% of Americans at all of our expense.) Oh, and everyone knows college educated people are the dumb ones, huh? He-he! I thought toothless hillbillies in the movies were the only people who said that! Maybe you thought that was serious. It was meant in those movies to show how ignorant uneducated people are and ridicule them. Yet another movie cliche (like Rambo and his heroics) you may not want to emulate. Oh, when I was in the Army we were trained to defend America from enemies within who tried to rule by ignoring the constitution. You know, the one GW violated with his wiretapping, stopping dissent by moving it to fenced protest areas, being appointed by a supreme court ruling that SAID you have a right to vote but not to have it count, signing statements that claimed the pres needn't follow or enforce the laws they don't agree with, and on and on. But hey, he was OUR side's supreme ruler, huh? Boy, that worked out well.

), those people he drove out were usurers who lent money at today's rates. He is on MY side. I never meant he is a pacifist, I meant he defended the defenceless, the poor, the oppressed, and NOT the millionaire ursurers! I can defend what I say with facts not insults as some- not you Pathfinder- have done here. Those that tried to follow his post with "help" by insult or ridiculous claims aren't really helping him. You are right Rasus, childish insulting isn't helping and shush- ing might not be a bad idea instead.
