"Strangely enough though, it was voted #3 of the top 10 handguns by American Rifleman. I know, I know... it still doesn't justify it. Feeling a bit stupid on this day. Told ya it was freaking hot out."

Don't worry TT, Gaston Glock beat the shit out of John Moses, but John was not around to defend himself or He would have made it himself. I don't think JMB was thinking of 3" accuracy for his handgun, but that it worked, just like GG, I prefer a 1911 for the trigger and ergonomics, but the Glock is the most reliable design I have ever seen, and it has been proved, over and over again. Not only reliability, but defense against the elements, it is the cock roach of pistols. Shootability, depends on whether you are willing to take on the design and learn it, even if you don't, it will still somehow WORK.

Welcome to the Glock Kool Aid, like it or not, its like a mongrel dog, you might not like or love it, but it loves you. ;D ;D ;D

Thanks M25operator. Trust me, if I had my choice I would buy everything American. I have carried other firearms from other countries. I respect the Beretta, love the Smith and Wesson, but prefer a Glock. Maybe it is the ergonomics, but when I go to the range I feel like a champ at the end of the day with the performance I get on my range results.

Yes it did receive #3 on American Rifleman. But I think it would have gone higher without the heart of our own countrymen in the NRA!!! MHO.  ;)

I had a Glock 17 that I used in competion for a while.  The problem I have with it is the swell on the backstrap.  It causes the weapon to point up in my hand.  I have to deliberately point it down to align the front and back sights.

The XD and the M&P addressed this problem by providing three different sized back straps.  The smallest of these allows the me to be able to instantly align the sights.

My next pistol will be an American made M&P.   :)

The Kool-Aid must have been sweet on this hot damn day....

Congrats on the Glockinspiel, they work, they are reliable, and yes they are ugly, but hey the mind does crazy things, even has hallucinations... ;)

I saw this one yesterday,  only 95 degrees though..

and I snapped back to reality.

Enjoy...

My next pistol will be an American made M&P.   Smiley

long762, you won;t be disappointed in the M+P...

I would agree but now I am going to sell my Smith and Wesson M&P 9c cause I am more comfortable with a Glock no matter what!!! My Glock's are more accurate period.  8)

I'm with operator and ping on this one. Short of egregious limp wristing, you just have a heck of a time trying to make one NOT work. It is ugly, but they're ALL supposed to be ugly when you're looking at the little end. ;) As I implied, I'd take my Browning to a shooting match, I'd take my Glock to a gun fight.

Then no Sigs for you.  Aluminum is good enough for fighting rifles and pistols, but not Tom?

The ones being machined when I interviewed there a couple years back were steel. (Frames and Slides ) And no it isn't good enough for me, in fact, I'd pick polymer over aluminum.

This is why I love it here. Get a whole hornets nest stirred up with a comment or picture on anything.

**sniff**sniff** I love you guys/gals!

BTW, I never really actually feel stupid, but I like to pretend every now and then.  I know some people that don't need to pretend. ;) ;)

Badger - I don't want no stinkin' cookies, where's my damn steak?? And I'm gonna need some beer too!   ;D
