You are NOT buying a Glock just so you can go to Hooters.

"Strangely enough though, it was voted #3 of the top 10 handguns by American Rifleman. I know, I know... it still doesn't justify it. Feeling a bit stupid on this day. Told ya it was freaking hot out."

Don't worry TT, Gaston Glock beat the shit out of John Moses, but John was not around to defend himself or He would have made it himself. I don't think JMB was thinking of 3" accuracy for his handgun, but that it worked, just like GG, I prefer a 1911 for the trigger and ergonomics, but the Glock is the most reliable design I have ever seen, and it has been proved, over and over again. Not only reliability, but defense against the elements, it is the cock roach of pistols. Shootability, depends on whether you are willing to take on the design and learn it, even if you don't, it will still somehow WORK.

Welcome to the Glock Kool Aid, like it or not, its like a mongrel dog, you might not like or love it, but it loves you. ;D ;D ;D

While I will agree with the reliability of a Glock, its ergonomics suck!! That is where the Steyr line of pistols like a 1911 or more like a Luger have a better angle of the grip that is more natural for shooters.
Give anyone who shoots a 1911 a Glock and they will shoot low and left (for a right handed person) until they get used to the angle.
I dont want a Glock due to the G17 being the death of the Steyr GB. A pistol way ahead of its time and IMHO the best 9mm pistol ever made.

Congrats on the Glock 17. I was a wheel gun man for a long time, still am, but when I finally bought an auto it was a first gen. Glock 17. I have had it a very long time. It is accurate, goes bang every time (all 17 or 33) and I've never regretted the purchase.
I have no problem with the ergonomics.

When my wife and I first qualified for our CHLs we took the G17. It was her choice so I figured that I'd shoot it too. We had the 2nd (mine) and 3rd highest scores in a class of 20. The #1 guy shot a perfect round.

Soooooooo, accurate, yeah. Seventeen guys felt bad about a girl shooting their lights out. ;D

Enjoy the toy.

Just saw the S&W 327, eight shot, .357 magnum wheel gun reviewed in this month's Concealed Carry Magazine. Drooool ;D

I guess sometimes you just have to play with the toys to appreciate quality.  I'm sure your REAL guns will look and feel even better to you after acquiring a Block.

Its amazing how accurate that thing is with such a short barrel isn't it? I never did thank you for talking me into that rather than G34. So, thanks Eric. ;D
