So the mail man knows not to startle her.

yeah.....
I still think it is totally unnecessary to publish this kind of info. this is one of the gripes I have with the local media here in Peru, they tell the whole country EVERYTHING about you if you did (or are suspected of doing) anything, including ID #s. stuff that's nobody else's business. damn media!

Innocent until proven guilty!

I know it looks pretty cut and dried, but there is still an investigation going on.  WHAT  IF something else comes up?  How do you undo what has been done with that invasion of privacy.  Regardless of what happens in the coming days of investigation, the remorse of being responsible for an AD with injury, dealing with her insurance company (I'd bet there is already a plan for complete medical care and a million dollar check from her company to the other lady), and the public stigma, this lady's life is changed for ever.  I would even venture to say that it is changed more than the one who was wounded - providing the wound is as reported.

To me this is no different than the way alcohol involved arrests are reported.  Just yesterday I heard a report of a person that was picked up and released after an accident.  She was a passenger in a car (doing the right thing of getting a ride home after drinking) involved in an accident.  Once it was determined she had done nothing wrong she was given a ride home and family/roommate/whoever was informed of the situation by the officer.  However, in reporting this the information was released and the media chose to use it that her blood alchohol level was .21 "nearly three times the legal limit" ... since when is there a legal limit if you are not driving?  She was a passenger with a designated driver that had nothing to drink!

Rant off.  I now return you to your normally scheduled distractions  ;)

Only thing on their mind when they give out that info. is their causing problems for "some right wing gun nut".  AND that they may get another story out of this if a hundred of their idiot friends show up on this ladies lawn protesting.

If it happens.  "It's crazy officer!  All the people on my lawn startled me so bad I dropped my AK with a full drum magazine and...  Well, do you think you could ask that news lady if she minds cleaning up her friends?"

+1 She'll be paying for this one $

the sad reality is, even if you take every thing she owns, chances are, it  will still not be enough to cover all the bills, ( medical, legal, a bill from th ehotel...etc etc.)
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.
