And last night on Showtime was Penn and Teller's BullShit and the episode was about violent video games.
Great show to watch!

Hopeless Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare addict here. Still trying to finish the run on Veteran level.

The video in the link is total BS.

F#$%ing hilarious.  At least you old timers know the classic games.  The new electronic wargamer plays Armed Assault 2:

Sick game go buy it, its made by the Operation Flashpoint guys.

BTW, I can turn on video game mode and see the real world in polygons, edges, vertices.  It's scary, but useful when you make them. ;D

Hi  My name is Phil  and I am Living with First Person Shooter Disease   ;)

Pathways into Darkness
Marathon ( All versions )
Duke Nukem 3D
Wolfenstein 3D
Doom
Descent
Quake
Unreal Tournament
Call of Duty
Battlefield II

at the moment  COD 4  and BFII  are the ones I am playing at the moment when I am not on forums

then there is the PlayStation I don't play first person shooters on that,
ALL of the Gran Turismo version,   V8 Super Cars,  and a little bit of Need For Speed
I mostly play the car racing games on the PS3 still have my PS2 for the older games,

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

Phil, you sound like a good guy, so I'm going to help you out.  First, stop playing COD 4 and never think of it again, I forgive you.  Second, go download the BF2 mod called 'Project Reality'.  Its probably the best mod I've ever played, and it really adds on to the BF experience, it the hardest core squad based combat ever.  Then go get ARMA2, all the Operation Flashpoint greatness in an updated graphics and effects package with a stronger tactical emphasis.

Let me know if you get Project Reality, you can be my spotter. ;)

On that note, we ought to have a DRTV game night once or twice a month.  Let me figure some stuff out, I'll try and pick games that all ya'lls rigs can run, and that's free.  If your interest, post some suggestions.  I can run the server and VOIP, you guys just brings your asses so I can kick 'em. ;D
