Onrecess, you haven't been hear long enough to be shooting your mouth off. The others on here know me and how to take my comments, and don't need some newbie translating for them.
I have often said I would never ask that any one be booted from a forum but you may make me break that vow.
By the way, I don't need alcohol or drugs to face life and I am actually quite cheerful, I feel sorry for you if you can't say the same.

Tom, you said what I was typing and beat me to it.

First, Tom doesn't need anyone on here taking up for him, so I'll not even try.....he can, and does, do that for himself.

Second, Onrecess, we all know what Tom meant and we all know his style of posting. How the hell can you spout off a judgment about someone you don't really know after reading one comment?

You're just making yourself look silly.

Gee, maybe I was wrong. There are at least two guys who defend your insane defense of that loser... Oh, that's right, I said men.  ;D
I'm real hurt, girls. :P
Now THAT'S funny.

Hmm, four guys. Do y'all defend him when he jokes about killing your kid? I can see the I'd be out of prison joke if the guy hadn't murdered his own kid.  Sorry if y'all have a different set of decency and humor. I don't wish to sink quite that low.

He's never joked about killing my kids.......

And, while this is an open forum and most comments are welcome, in my opinion, it seems that you're just a flaming troll who has posted nothing yet to prove different.

Just ignore the guy Peg. You sent some good advice, so did Path. He's not learning. The posts are all personal slams and inuendo and accusations of racism, all without evidence or warrant. A childish waste of time. If he wants to make arguments to provoke debate, good. If he wants to make personal attacks to pick a fight, a waste of time. We see which one he's chosen.

If you will take the time to read my original post, on page 1, you will see what I think of this despicable child killer.

It would also seem that you are including me in "defending Tom". Tom does not need me to defend him, he is quite able to defend himself.

My comment was an appreciation of the gallows humor that was posted. I felt that it was witty, no more, no less.

Finally, if you find people around here being a little snapish, you may wish to take a look at the tone of some of your earliest posts and responses. Many of us have and share differing opinions and viewpoints. We still manage to address each other with civility and respect. You will find that we can appreciate well expressed points of view, even when they may differ from the ones that we present on a particular topic.

There is no need to be snide or condescending. There are many highly intelligent people that are members of our forum family. I have learned the most by reading the posts of those that have a viewpoint that differs from my own.

Most of the liberals that I know are peace loving and empathetic. Tone down the rhetoric and you may just find a that this can be a pretty nice place to get to know a lot of good people.

Well Kid, I certainly don't believe I posted anything uncivil until responding to childish attacks. My posts in other threads were always tongue in cheek and never meant snidely. I honestly felt this person needed help. My christian duty demands I reach out. He was kidding and I needn't have? Okay, I was trying to be a decent person. My church preaches just that. Read my first post. I never called him names or attacked anyone. I was practically destroyed by depression "caused" by the unfair system and a life changing injury (and let's not leave out the workers comp system which might even be worse than child courts. Depression kills thousands (even tough guys it could never happen to- like a journeyman pipefitter and veteran like me. I always knew that would never be me, either folks).  I tried to be a decent person. I'm not so weak as to believe kindness, compassion, or christian decency is "weak." Takes a fair bit of guts to admit to an illness that kills thousands of tough guys every year and yet is considered weak by the uninformed in a place where you know most people are hating you because you support the wrong party of leeches.  If people are not welcome here if they try to be decent christians of any stupid political party than this is a crummy place, yes? He wanted to mouth off and attack me I guess because I'm in a different political party. Please show me any earlier post where I acted snide or disrespectful. I try to inject humor on other threads because I find the angry right takes all of this "politic" stuff so serious. (As does, of course, the angry left.) If it helps, I find extreme feelings about or for either side or party of bloodsucking moneygrubbing "civil servants" pretty amazing. I kinda thought everybody knew all polititians are basically dirt.
Yep, I might have got my shorts in a twist when attacked by this person after at least trying to help what I thought (rightly or not) as a person in need of it. Geez, look at the threads, he is following me around calling me childish names. I gotta laugh about that. Geez, he attacks AA people (who, let's face it, tough enough to be plowing a pretty tough field), to attack little old me. I assure you I've only tried to be light-hearted in all the political nonsense. Maybe you could look at my threads seeing I put in smilees and try to be light. If you want to show me an attitude (other than this thread where I admit I struck back rather, um, harshly) in other threads please do so there. I promise you I will bend over (only!) backwards to try to show it was meant only as humor. Trust me, I'm never terribly serious, and never at all about politics..

Tell, you what, go ahead and call me a doo-doo head

Doo-doo head is a little harsh. Around here we prefer the much more polite Richard cranium..................Wait for it. ;D
