Uhhhh excuse me guys...................
 can I get a word in edgewise in  here ?
I have been reading some of the threads where there is bickering going on between you all and a new member calling himself, Onrecess.
This isn't a new thing.. we all bicker and get bitchy with each other on occasion. ( some more than others)  
And I usually stand back and let things take its course.. but I'm going to step in here on this one.
Was going to post this on an existing thread, but decide to open up a new one instead.

I think that we all have lots of different opinions in here. That is what makes this a good place to be.
Even though I know a few of you personally etc.. I STILL once and awhile don't agree with what you say.
I know I know.......  "shocker!"..  

Onrecess... I have gone back and read every post you have written. They are definitely written by a strong personality ..but I have to say.. no stronger than some of our other personality's in here can write. My own included.

I"ve said this many many times ..but I will remind everyone again.
( Remember also that I get long winded.. so bear with me.)


When you use a keyboard and not your voice to talk, others who don't know you or the way your speak or the way your personality is have a tendency to read it ..as THEY might say it or worse.. read it and not have a clue as to the way the person wrote it.
 I will use my personality as an example. Unless you know me or have talked to me, you have no idea how weird my humor is.. or how I use eyes and mouth and facial expressions when I talk. These alone can make all the difference in the way someone would interpret and get the full meaning out of what I am saying.
People who know me always say ..when i write them something.. " I read it JUST LIKE I could hear you saying it. ".

We all do not have that luxury in here when it comes to posts and conversations.
I think everyone needs to step back and take  a breath and stop to realize that we are all different.. We all have experiences which make us react to things in a like manner or a different manner. No one can  set up on their little step ladder and say,." I did it this way and I conquered this or that.. so by god, you should be able to and if you don't or haven't then you are "blah blah blah.."

Each individual situation with people and experiences in life are different. We might have all had similar things happen to us, but there is not one that is the same. Divorces, child support..marriages...deaths, job success and losses...child rearing.. you name it, it is different.
I can smoke a pack of cigarettes a day for a month and on the 31st day ..stop like I never smoked one. Doesn't bother me one bit. Always been like that.
 I lose patience with Marshal because he can smoke 2 cigarettes and be hooked for life... and can't seem to stop.

What I'm getting at is..... no matter what situation it is.. we are all different and have to learn from it in our own way no matter if someone else thinks it is the "wrong way"..

Tom.. you have to do what you have to do, in the way you do it.
Onrecess.. you are the same.
 There are 'life' things that you both have learned and lots that you both have not learned.
 ( That is why we are still on this earth boys.. cause we haven't got it all right yet)  

My suggestion .. and this is only a suggestion , because we are all grown adults in here ( or supposed to be)

 Let's give everyone a chance in here to be "who they are".. I don't think Onrecess is as left as some of you think he is.
 There are some in here that are VERY VERY far right.. way farther than I am..  but to  measure a person by left and right political policy's alone is dumb. Yeah.. I like to be around and talk to people who are of like mind. We all are in our comfort zone in this area.. But how do we learn anything if we can't have differences of opinion? Do I get raving mad at true LIBERALS? hell yes.. I think that for the most part in most areas, they are a waste of oxygen.. BUT.... I happen to know some wonderful gentle people who are hard working Liberals who I wouldn't put in this category..
Why?
 Because I Know Them Personally. Simple as that.
We don't have the luxury of "knowing everyone personally" in here in this forum..
 But what we do have is the ability to write our opinions and express ourselves in a way that maybe we can change minds and attitudes in areas where we feel strong and feel we DO have things to offer that is helpful.

Tom.. I respect and admire your political knowledge more than you can know. You are top in the field.
I  read your blog.. and correspond with you a lot. but it took some time for me to "figure you and your personality type out". Having never met you , I still would be shocked I am sure at your speaking mannerisms and how they differ with your forum  writing mannerisms.

Onrecess.. Like I say, I went in and read every one of your posts ( more than once) I agree with lots of your way of thinking... and disagree with some too.  I also realize you are no dummy. You have obviously worked hard to fight your way to where you are now despite the pitfalls of life.
If you are like me and most others..  I'm sure there are things yet that you are not satisfied with the way you handled things and there most likely will be more. We are all constantly learning...

I'm closing this long winded drivel with this.    Lets try to give everyone a chance in here. If we attack everyone that is strong minded and strong willed , we will shut out a lot of good people who we might find in the future that we actually learn to enjoy and get to know their personality and opinions.. even if they do differ some for our own.  

We are all gun people in here. THAT is a commonality.. We all love our children and our family's and our dogs,, ( and cats.. *smiling at Haz*  )
A majority of us have divorces under our belt.. deaths .. tragedy's, job successes and job losses.  I honestly do not think anyone in this forum really really likes Obama and his policy's. If they did , they would be in another forum where the majority in that area is like that. I would be safe to say that ALL of us here are Independent and Republic ( what ever that is anymore  )

So lets start over.. stop wasting time with the name calling and back and forth bashing and start to talk and try to enjoy and get to know the personalitys in here.
The strong  will survive in here and the weak will move on.. but let "THEM" make that decision.. not be run out on a rail before they get a chance.  Down Range people I know don't do that.

Now carry on and try to kinda be as nice as you can be.( asking alot of most of you skallywag owl hoots I know.. but "try" for gods sake.
Because the corner is getting to be over crowded and while I am on the corner subject, someone can't seem to hit their big mouth with the cheeze whiz.. The yellow dried up shit is all over the floor .. and WHO .. I want to know....brought in the sardines and smoked oysters and left the open cans all over the place. ..

Everybody here has similar, but different points of view on subjects (standard issue human behavior).  It's fine and dandy to express disagreement.  The bitching sessions do go to far sometimes.  If somebody disagree's, or thinks a statement is BS.  SAY SO!  Post your disagreement / opinion, and accept that your opinion isnt worth more than anybody elses!  Dont keep posting, and posting, and posting, removing all doubt you have no self control.  ONE POST IS ALL IT TAKES.  THEN DROP IT!  Intentionally trying to piss people off only shows that, Yes, YOU are a bigger A-HOLE than the other guy! 

Tens of thousands of our friends and countrymen died to allow us ALL fredom of opinion and speech.  Share your thoughts.  Dont waste what they gave acting like a jerk.
