just been talking to another one of our members.. and one thing I have noticed (and has said member) that one doesn't sound like you would expect from what you read on the forum. and it was mutual. hey.. you don't sound anything like I expected...
what I'm getting at.. is that we all have diff views, but unfortunately some folks come across.. well... in a way that is abrasive, or condescending... you know...  like our new 'friend'. anyway, maybe we should, before chewing the poor new guy out, explain to the noob what this site is about and that, though we may not like them, they won't be kicked out if they behave. mainly respect the other forum members. well. anybody?

Nope you're not. Path and Peg tried, but maybe they should have been more direct. I should have tried. I get my fair share of flack, but dont mind for the most part because it isn't personal  (or its just Tom being Tom  ), but what does set this forum apart is that it can be a contact sport, but not the Jerry springer show. We do have a responsibility to lay out the customs and limits before just driling the guy. (if he ignores this........)

I'm glad you all posted how you feel. I appreciate honestly more than anything no matter what it is.
I'm not coming down on anyone in here. Just stating my opinion .( and I have been shot down in here too at times *but with respect*)   of which I appreciate.
One more thing I want to make clear.......Just because I am one of the M's.. doesn't mean squat to me...and it shouldn't to you either. Marshal and Michael and I post just like you all do. The only difference is.. it is part of our job. Their posts might hold more weight in information than  mine..(ignore this..I'm just sucking up)
 but for the most part.. posts are posts. ( kinda like parts are parts.. LOL)
 In my opinion...our posts shouldn't carry any more weight than anyone elses..  You still have your right to your opinion whatever it may be,.even if it disagrees with mine. And I didn't ask you to like everyone... I just ask that maybe we just need to try to base our opinions of others .maybe in a less abusive way.. .......hell's fire.. you all know what I'm saying.
 If you don't want to... fine.. don't..
 I'm not banning anyone in here. Unless they really really get ugly and rude and trollish.. they will have a place in here if they can handle the heat and the subject matter.  .. so handle your posting how ever you want to.
 Just cause I "suggested" something is not by any means "the rule"...

GREAT!! I seem to have a plumbing issue. Sometimes I have some pipes that end up needing to be drained after reading some of the more inflammatory posts which seems to be caused by a large accumulation of liquids. Anything I should look at to fix this?

I guess I missed the whole thing...no wonder, I'm having trouble keeping up with everything these days.
I sometimes read something insulting and think, "that's a shame it has come to this". On the other hand, most times the asshat deserved it.
There's the political factor too. I think you have to look at posts on the Politics and RKBA thread differently than the others. They use light weight gloves in that thread and you can get your bell rung. Now if someone is abusive to someone else discussing our favorite subject, or what flavor you like, or what scope you like....THAT guy needs a good talking to because the cumulative gun knowlege on this website is awesome, and no one deserves to be made uncomfortable talking about any of that.

Well I was not looking at much on here for a few days due to being very busy.  Then gone and totally without access to a computer for a few more days.  Looks like a lot has been going on.  It's going to take me awhile to catch up and awhile to gather my thoughts and compose some replies if I choose to do so.  Sure hope the corner gets cleaned up in the meantime as I may well be sent there.

Some of the few recent  post remind me off a guy I used to work with that preached a lot of tolerance and diversity as long as your thoughts and views were in line with his.  If not, he had no tolerance or accepted your diversity and the hate glowed fervently.  Of coarse this person and his opinions were always right.  This same loving liberal pointed to me one day and said "I don't care about you, You're at the bottom of the food chain."  He showed his true colors that day in that in reality and through all the retoric the only person he cared about was himself.  The rest was just fodder that had served it's puropose and was no longer of use to him.
