OK, definately not a carbine, but equally definately tactical - check this out

First poster on that site stole my idea - looks like the SAW used in Aliens!

Very cool. I know that this was just playtime for the guys at Knight, but there are a lot of practical innovations that we are likely to see in future weapons. This could be quite practical with the addition of a heads-up display aiming system. Heck, I've got heads up display on my Acadia. I rarely look at the dash for anything. Heads-up helmets are already part of the soldiers arsenal and could easily become standard issue.

It does look like the SAW used in Aliens. Heavy on the cool factor. ;D Compact and full auto with a grenade launcher. Rock and Roll.

if you pull the can off the front  it would be legal( assuming you owned the mag before jan 1 2000)

No, per the 2A, the gun is legal in all 50 states as shown - it is only the a$$holes in Sacramento and some of the cities who say otherwise for CA. If you don't stand up for your rights, then you deserve to have none.

it did not come from sacramento... it came from LA and the bay area... I do stand up for my rights.

did I say it was wrong?   no, I just think its dumb to carry a unloaded gun on your hip in a area that is known for gangs and crimes against the person. 

a unloaded gun is nothing more then a small metal club.
