The fact that it is a FEMA exercise certainly makes it SOUND like the stuff Black helicopter conspiracies are made of, Socialist politicians , blue helmets and everything crappy.
If I ever see anyone in uniform wearing a blue helmet on US soil, I would take the blue helmeted a%$holes to be an invading army and respond properly.

Lets also remember post 9-11 we had NATO pilots flying CAPS right here in the USA with white ones on the rails. It was a symbolic show of solidarity, but t sure wasn't the end of days either.

No, just a step in that direction.

Ask yourself one question - post 9/11, why did we need foreign pilots flying CAP? Did we run out of ours? Or was it a gummint thought that - like in Patriots - American servicemen might not fire on American civilians?

It was that NATO (at our request) invoked Article Five for the first time. It was to send a message to Al Queda that they hadn't just attacked the US, but the West, They also wanted to send a message to Russia that NATO was very much alive and well post Cold War. Take off the tin foil, it was a good thing.

It is NEVER a good thing if foreign Air Forces are flying combat missions over your country.

And how many have we flown over Western Europe? Look, NATO is a mutual defense organization. An attack on one is an attack on all. Americans, Brits, Germans are all interchangeable here. Attack one of us and  we're all going to be all over your ass. Why is it a bad thing that Germany demonstrated that they are willing to do for us what we have been doing for them for the last 60 years?

Just proves my point. The REASON we flew all those missions was because they were under threat of potential Soviet invasion. Please explain to me how being threatened with invasion is a good thing .
