You know the really sad thing Bill? I don't think anyone with their head screwed on straight went into the voting booth this past election thinking anything else, no matter which way they voted. It was truly a question of the lesser evil, 60-40 and call them. (I'm not getting into a debate over my vote because its been done to death, but how many proud pro-McCain voters are there?) I cannot remember (with the exception of '04) when we have had such a sorry choice of candidates. Even if the primaries had gone differently we would have been stuck with a choice of the Hildabeast or Rommney. Usually in a time of crises, good people have emerged. Looks like we drew the short straw.

The Democrats went with a good choice in Hussein. A pure socialist. The Republicans went with a watered down old man with a history of straying from their conservative base. In spite of this McCain didn't lose by all that much. Had it been Romney, and the economy had not tanked 3 months before the election, he would have won easily.

You will never get the ideal candidate. It will always be "the lesser of 2 evils". Always has been, always will be. It's like picking a steak out of the meat case of your local supermarket. You pick from the best they offer, or drive down the road to another store where nothing changes.  Bill T.

I believe the economy began to tank BECAUSE of the democratic nominee and nothing more.  Employers and employment drive our economy and regardless of the banking fiasco, American business decided to curtail any further hiring or capital expenditure until and when they saw where this guy was heading.

Thats the part of the equation the liberals don't seem to wrap their pointy little brains around.  The wealthy folks hire the worker bees and if you tax the shit out them, you drive DOWN employment, drive UP costs and the cycle of doom begins.  If my company had even 10 percent less tax, they could hire another twenty people even if those twenty had nothing to do all day.  Instead, we laid off twenty and expect another dramatic increase in health care costs.....

McCain is not a great man, not even close, but Obama is a putz and history will prove that out...

BTW....Romney was MY Governor and I'd have voted for him hands down, RINO or not!  He got railroaded by McCain and Huckabee...simple as that.

I have to disagree with you there, and here is why: McCain probably wouldn't have drove our country off the socialist cliff, well, let's face it, he would have been a lame duck. Which, I agree would have been better than what we have now, BUT: By getting the Obamanation we get a chance for the American people to really see what the libtards want to do to this country. The hope is of course, that the iganoramouses will pull their heads out of their asses and start demanding accountability from our government. That maybe, after this enviceration of our constitution, people might think before they vote. I know I'm asking a lot here, but I don't think that this awareness could have been attained under McCain.
