Taking a new shooter to the range Saturday!!!!

This is going to be great!  I'm taking my cousin to the range on Saturday!  She's never shot before, but she's joined the NRA on her own, and on her own, asked me to take her shooting.  She's very excited, and this is going to be a ball.

That sounds like a great thing to do, what's her age?

If she's younger, it sounds like she is on the right track...

If she's older, it's better late than never.

She's an adult.  She's always been conservative, and a fan of the ENTIRE Bill of Rights.  She went to a Tea Party, and joined the NRA that day.

What a great opportunity to introduce someone to the sport.  Be sure and go over safe gun handling (and maybe practice at home) well before getting to the range.  Let us know how it goes.

Don't worry, there will be a report.  I will take pics if/when available, but we're going to the NRA Range, and there's a no photography rule.  We're starting with a T/C Encore in .375 H&H Magnum and a snubnosed .450 Cassull.  I thought we'd go light since it's her first time. 

I'm kidding.  All I've got is a 1911 and a .40.  I'm bringing light ammo for both.  I wish I had a 22 to start with, but I think she'll be alright. 

Safety of course, is paramount, and will be gone over IN DEPTH before putting ammo in the thing.  I'll try to get her and the Mr. on the forums.  This is a pretty cool bunch of folks, and I think they'd enjoy it.
