Outstanding!
Have fun and stay safe.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

Range Report:

We went shooting today.  My cousin shot both my Glock 22 and Kimber 1911.  We started at 10' with the Glock.  Her first shot was in the 10 ring.  All in all, she did a heck of a job, and had a ball doing it.  She didn't shoot quite as well with the 1911, but she said "I guess I just need more practice with that one."  We backed the target out to 20', and she still did pretty well, and her shots were great until her hands started getting tired.  She picked up all the safety stuff quickfast, and just really did a fantastic job.  She's a natural shooter, and told me she can't wait to do it again.

Afterwards, we went to a local gun show.  We did the usual, and she's even narrowed down her first hand gun purchase to either a Glock 22 or an XDM 9.

All in all, today was a great day for her, and I do believe she's got the shooting bug.  Don't worry gentlemen(and ladies), I did discuss this forum, and she responded positively.

Here's a picture of her first target.

Another one inoculated against the gun banners.
And with an impressive group too. Good for HER, and good for you.  ;D

Hi,

I'm the cousin.  :)  I had a great time at the range, and Matt did a great job showing me the ropes.  Turns out I did get bit, and can't wait to go back and do it again!

We're starting with a T/C Encore in .375 H&H Magnum and a snubnosed .450 Cassull

You bout had me there MLC.  ;D Great job on showing her the two best weapons on the market, which are a 1911 or a Glock!!!
If she were to join the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation at  http://gssfonline.com/index.cfm for $35 a year she would be able to purchase one Glock every 12 months at a discounted price.  :o

Welcome to the forum Malyel.

Enjoy shooting. Be safe. Learn all that you can. Get some professional instruction. Get a concealed carry permit, or as they are called here in Texas a CHL (Concealed Handgun License).

Congratulations on starting a life long and maybe life saving sport. Also congratulations on joining the NRA.

Great target. :)
