I'm a believer that if either Obama-Care or Cap and Tax (Trade) gets passed it is over.  If they can get these things through they will feel empowered to do anything - including gun control.

Given the composition of the House and Senate It is up to the Blue Dogs to put a stop to this non-sense.

Even if you have a Republican representing you or even a liberal Democrat you need to get involved.

But… if you have a Blue Dog Democrat representing you then you must get involved!  Call, write, send, an email but get involved to get the brakes put on this legislation.

My congress critter has been e-mailed on this issue, and I am confident that he will do the right thing.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Here is where I am torn. I bitch and complain. I try to educate people. I talk with my reps, but I feel there is little more I can do. My reps are voting the right way on everything that comes down. Also, our junior senator is making a name for himself. Especially on gun control issues, and as a doctor, on this health care sham.

So with my reps actually being responsible, and even our democrat gov. taking a stand against Washington, I don't know what more I can do at this point. Any suggestions?

I've e mailed my Senators but the one for my district is a worthless socialist who will vote for anything the post turtle in chief wants, NH will be a split vote.

I agree with you 100%. I don't need to contact my Texas Senators on Cap and Trade or my Senators or Congressman on Obama care. Fortunately I don't think Cap and Trade will get out of the Senate. For the time being Obama care also appears to be DOA.

I would very strongly second your statement and encourage everyone with "Blue Dog" representation to not only write and call their Congressman and Senators but to also encourage all like minded people in their Districts and State to do the same. We cannot afford for either of these measures to pass. We are teetering on the brink of economic disaster. Either of these measures would ensure economic riun.

I would not be surprised if this is the ultimate goal of Soros and the far left. I don't mean to sound like a tin hat wearing conspiracy theorist, but the result of economic collapse would be Marshall Law, an invitation to UN and NATO troops to help with the civil unrest, huge expansion of Federal powers and indefinite time in office for the POTUS, all in the name of National Security. >:(

That is precisely why they will pass.

That's the gist of it TAB. With 1018 pages of crap, I don't know if anyone could ever know the ins and outs of it. Most likely not even the jacklegs that wrote the thing know.

It's been pointed out before that you won't be able to change providers or get a new private health care coverage after the bill would go into effect. As long as you keep what you already have, you can stay with private coverage. If you change jobs, want to get better rates or different coverage, you're screwed. It's basically a death blow to private health insurance. That's my simple understanding of it at least so I can easily be wrong.

yet another 1000+ page bill.

lets just assume the bill reads like most legal texts.  even if you could read 100 pages a hour, it would still take you 10 hours to read the damn thing.  the average college student can only read about 50 pages a hour if they want to have 95% recall.  even using the "bold print" method 100 pages in a hour with 95% recall is not easy.

really makes you wonder how the reps are reading all these 1000+ page bills.

oh wait, they are not.

Give them moral support, things like supportive letters to the Editor about how they are looking out for America instead of cheap party interest.
