Thanks all for the nice well wishes for my birthday.

I'll admit that I'm a bit infatuated with the AUG.  I've "hated" bullpups all my life based on the typical arguements...non-ambidexterous, chamber by your cheek, crappy triggers, difficult mag changes.  That said, I "hated" AR15s and AKs until I bought them and used them extensively.  Then I learned to appreciate the advantages of each platform

Same with the bullpup.  You really can't believe how compact and handy they are.  And the straightline design plus the short moment arm based on the receiver configuration means really good recoil control.  The trigger on this is surprisingly good...much better than most stock mil-spec ARs.  Not a match trigger by any means...just not as bad as "everyone" says.

I'll play with the platform and learn the goods and bads.

I gotta say...the bullpup is growing on me...holy crap are they compact

And I love your location....Adelaide!  My wife and I spent 3 fantastic weeks in Austrailia back in 2002...Sydney, the Barossa Valley, the Outback and Caines.  I loved the wine country around Adelaide.
