Often from a giant bong. (words of wisdom from FQ13s younger days). Get over it folks, find one of a dozen real issues. This is past silly.

Well, we've all seen the photos of Obama smokin' the doob in college. Oh yeah, the college where he was enrolled as a foreign aid student! :)

He's from Kenya, but there are all of the resources to cover that up from here on out - except maybe a Hawaiian birth certificate. Hmmm?

One serious, as in I do this for a living note, on an otherwise amusing topic. Fullbrights (a great program) are not just for foreign students. They also cover US students as well. Seriously, a number of my collegues got their PhD research funded by this program and they used to (or still do) have need based and AA programs as well. Its not dispositive proof of anything, just a fact to consider.

No it's not silly FQ. If you don't think the expense and efforts that BO has gone to to avoid producing a peice of paper are fishy the it is YOU who are not only silly, but unbelievably naive.
To the best of my knowledge, Obama himself has never actually SAID he was "a natural born Citizen. Would you pay off on a bet on this kind of evidence ?

Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship.

I don't feel that we should accept a man as the President of the United States, if he's going to claim to be anything other than American. Also, did he lie to get his scholarship? Did your colleagues lie? This doesn't sound right.

I'm just saying Fullbright funds foreign AND US students. There are many different Fullbrigt schlarships. I dont know which he got, just that saying fullbright=foreign isn't true.

I'd imagine that there are probably different scholarships offered. The story, which may be incorrect, states that this particular scholarship's qualification was that the student must claim foreign citizenship. It also said that he claimed to be a foreign student from Indonesia. Maybe he's just never really known where he was from. ;)

You're either up late, or up early (healthy, wealthy and wise). Good morning.

You teach political science don't you?

Even in admitting a wrong you claim correctness ... or is that in claiming correctness you admit a wrong ... or in denying a wrong you feign correctness ... er ... ah ... I got lost in there some where  :-\

Silly Rabbitt......I claim neither to be correct NOR incorrect. I misspeak, you on the other hand, are a lying bastard. This is why I am a professional and you are a rank amateur. ;D Serously, Fullbright Scholarships are a useful Cold War relic. The idea was to spread Americanism by sending our student's overseas and bringing foreign students here. The theory being that our students would be good will ammbassadors and their's would be exposed to US ideals. There was a program to do the same thing internally for the poor and minorities to fund undergrads to elite schools with the idea of creating talent pools in ghettos and Appalatchia etc. I don't work in financial aid and don't know whether those programs are still there or not. All I do know is, that just like the Ford Foundation, lots of money goes to various programs. Saying Fullbright means nothing. The question is WHICH Fullbright because there are dozens.

FQ, I must take you to task.  m58 is a friend of mine.  It's one thing if I call him a lying bastard, but it's unacceptable if someone else does.    ;D
