Until Bama starts talking publicly about banning this and that, I think the next few weeks are the time to buy.  Store shelves are filling back up, and prices ARE falling.  Big chain stores like Bass Pro are dropping prices back down to pre glut levels on most item's.  Right now everybodies pre-occupied with health care worries.  When this passes we'll see what he screws up next.  Gun rights?  Most likely.  And the glut will be in full flow again.  Even if you have everything you want.  Buy now, sell later!

I'd guess we've all had people bring us guns to "look at, & see if we could clean up" that they found in houses, purchased 10 years ago and forgot they owned, were left to them by relatives, or whatever.  You can bet we'll see many, many more in the future.  Guess its better than them not owning one at all...  Maybe.  :-\

My hope is that if theystart banning away again like in the 94 assault weapons ban, they dont limit private transfer.  There is no way in teh financial situation i am in that i can afford to buy any firearms, probably for the next year.  But with this many ARs now out in teh general population, getting one should be easy as long as they dont screw with private transfers...

There is no legal or moral imperative to obey unjust or unconstitutional laws.

I think the glut may be over too.  However, if the politicians continue to push the health care issue and use union thugs and ACORN operatives to beat up and silence people at meetings sales may begin to zoom.  The way the country is being handled is becoming more and more a concern at a grass roots level and Chicago style politics may cause another increase in gun buying.

What would you do at a meeting if three or four big guys came over to rough you up?

At least one of them would get kicked in the nuts.  I am not a "pushy" person, but I will push BACK, HARD.

What was the screening process to get in?  Do I still have my tactical light?  Do I have space to maneuver and maintain distance? What happens when I attempt to maintain distance and shout to raise awareness in the room?   Do I still have my 1911?

Badger - This is where the "reasonable man" ruling gets interesting.  If a 160 lb thug comes at me the court would tear me apart for over reacting.  But, could my attorney build a defense around four men of any size confronting me and ignoring my requests and demands to stay back?  And as in so many other situations, this is not black and white ... unless they follow you're lead, after exhausting other options how do they react to your draw?

Situational awareness!

The sad part is that if we avoid meetings because of this threat, they have already won.  I remember learning of mob tactics used by the mafia and unions to gain their way in a legal looking manor ... Is this any different if it happens?
