Thanks again Badge!!!

Not a NASCAR fan, but Danica can grab my stick shift and shift it into high gear any time she wants. ;D

Got any cold beer in the corner?

Fresh Miller Lite keg in the kegerator.  I changed it myself this morning.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Miller Lite can hardly be considered beer Tom!  Please!  I don't drink anymore but my taste buds still work! :P

I don't watch either any more.  Too many rule changes.  Especially NASCAR but even the new NHRA points chase is stupid and killed it for me.

Yep, you said it, pal.
I was a 30 year NHRA fan and never missed a Gatornationals for over 20 years until I became unable to attend a few years ago.
Now, with the points system and dropping to the 1000 foot finish line, I don't even watch on tv any more.
I still love the technology of the sport (8000+ horses from a 500 c.i. V-8) and will always be a gearhead.

Maybe one day I'll get re-inspired.......

Yeah....NHRA changed it after Scott Kalitta got killed last year at Englishtown, N.J. (a very short shut-down area at the end of the track, freak accident).

I'm hoping it's just a temporary measure (but it's already been over a year) until tracks with short shut-downs can add on to the end. They also said it saves money for racers due to less parts breakage.........
It takes the 'nostalgia' away......I'm all for safety, but drag racing is supposed to be 1/4 mile, IMHO.

Sorry, NASCAR is one of the two holes in my Southern street cred. I prefer rum to bourbon and always saw NASCAR as just a bunch of rednecks chasing each other in circles. Don't get the appeal.

Yeah well, If you dont like it, kiss my ass , just shut your pie hole  and turn the tv off. Im just about sick of your shit FQ and am planning A trip to your AO. Im sure the people in your part of the state have no idea about your opinion . Im sure we will have a great vacation, and a great training session.

I'd heard about the Kalitta kid, a buddy of mine was at the race when I happened.  I'd kind of lost track of NHRA because unless it's one of the big races it doesn't get televised up here in N.E..  Too bad, wasn't Connie the kid's crew chief?  Michigan born I think!

Oh well, must make for some really tight brackets.  Is it only for the top fuel and funny car divisions?

I am a hardcore redneck NASCAR fan I admit.  I am a Jeff Gordon fan...and for all you smart a$$e$ out there dont bother I have already heard em all.

I was actually in the stands when Earnhardt was killed at Daytona.  Been to Daytona 500 6 times, Pepsi 400 5 times, been to Charlotte and Las Vegas a couple times a piece, and to the Brickyard twice... and am now working on going to Bristol.

Although I love NASCAR, latley have been really into Rally stuff.  I met Colin Mcrae years ago when working at a hotel in Daytona Beach.

Yeah, Connie (his dad) was his crew chief........Connie Kalitta (The Bounty Hunter) was one of the old pioneers in drag racing, from back in the day with Muldowney, Garlits, Prudhomme, McEwen............ (remember the 'Snake' vs. the 'Mongoose'?).

I think (don't quote me on it) the change was for Pro categories only........but I'm not sure, as I have not bought a new and improved rule book.

Don't sweat it, the kid CAN drive a race car.  I watched him take Montoya's IRL car and in about 5 laps would have qualified for the IRL race they were running at the track.  Montoya could barely drive Gordons #24.....this was before Montoya transfered over to stock cars.
