When an Innovator and Legend Dies,...Les Paul

Anyone who likes or plays any type of music knows the name Les Paul.  I've played guitar for over 25 years, the standard for any young guitarist was having a Gibson Les Paul.  He was the foundation that took multi track recording, the concept of reverb and inventing one of the finest guitars as well as, other innovations, make him a legend in the music world.

Mine is a Les Paul Standard, and it is like your favorite firearm. There is a difference. Yes, my strings are on the "wrong" side as I am left handed....
I'm sure JayBeth  has some thoughts.



As much as this forum's members love music, I thought Les Paul's passing deserved acknowledgment.

Rest In Peace Les Paul, you have changed the sound of music forever, and we thank you.

Truly a legend.....I'm sure he and Leo Fender are having a cold one today!

psssstt.....TW......your guitar is upside backwards or sumpin!    And is that a Flyin Vee peeking around the corner?

Not a fan of the 200# log guitar, but the legend will be missed.  RIP man...

Make you go Hmmmm,....when skinny people like Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, Peter Frampton, and countless others, had the energy and spirit to get on stage and play for hours with the "somewhat heavy" Les Paul...

Kinda like a full size 1911, you get used to carrying it,...

I guess I just like the bright punchy tones of my lighter ESP.  Les Pauls have their place, but that havy wood makes for heavy tone.  If I could nail Slash's tones I would switch to les Pauls...
