Sixty-seven percent (67%) of voters nationwide believe Washington politics is likely to become more partisan over the coming year. That figure is up sharply from 55% a month ago and from 40% when President Barack Obama first took office.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 16% now believe politics will become more cooperative. That’s down from 23% a month ago and 40% when the President took office.

By a 2-to-1 margin, Democrats now expect more partisanship. A month ago, they were evenly divided. Even larger majorities of Republicans and unaffiliated voters expect more partisanship.

Fifty-one percent (51%) believe that Barack Obama is governing as a partisan Democrat while 33% say he is acting on a bi-partisan basis. Those figures have shifted little over the past month. Just over half the nation’s Democratic voters say that Obama is governing on a bi-partisan basis while a majority of Republicans and unaffiliated voters hold the opposite view.

Fifty-four percent (54%) believe that Congressional Republicans are acting on a partisan basis and 63% say the same about Congressional Democrats. Both those figures are up four points over the past month.

Fifty-eight percent (58%) say the next President after Obama is at least somewhat likely to be a Republican. That’s up from 51% a month ago and 44% when Obama took office. Just 29% now say it’s not likely that a Republican will follow President Obama.

The survey was conducted during the Congressional recess highlighted by vigorous and contentious town hall meetings. The President’s Job Approval ratings have fallen to the lowest levels of his relatively short tenure. Support for the health care reform legislation working its way through Congress has fallen to 42% and most unaffiliated voters are now opposed to the plan.

Probably recent converts to the truth. Even Saul had to have the scales lifted from his eyes to become Paul.

This type of poll comes out fairly often with similar findings.  Liberal leaning people think the Republicans in Washington are acting partisan.  Conservative leaning people think the Democrats are acting partisan.  It is always the other guy's fault.

The problem is, that when people respond about politics in general, they have a generally negative view.  However, when they are asked about their Senator or Representative they have a fairly positive view.

The other guys are bad but my guy is tolerable.

My Senators do, too.  My Representative is OK.  But I really wasn't talking about me when I said, "The other guys are bad but my guy is tolerable."

When Queen Nancy says: "We don't need Republicans to pass healthcare reform," it's gotten pretty partisan.

Since BHO got elected her philosophy has been "Everybody shut up. You can't do anything about it anyway." That's about as partisan as it gets. She seems to want the American people to shut up as much as the Republicans. After all, she knows what we need more than we do. >:(

Maybe the Germans will rent us that little brick building Hitler used for the June 20th plotters.
We might even be able to get Auschwitz, But we may have to let them have the video and advertising rights.
I can see the ads in industrial journals, " America uses German incinerators to dispose of their trash".

I would NOT be surprised if Obamus Maximus, Queen Nancy and Harry Dweeb ramrod both ObamaCare and Cap & Tax through regardless of public input and dare voters to kick them out of office.

They might want to listen in on a few Town hall meetings where the unAmerican, nazi, astroturf racists are allowed in before they do that. They might just get their bluff called.
