I remembered it was on, but not until 2 hours after it ended.  :(

My favorite was his version of shooting from horseback.

I'm partial to Gunny's "horse" as well. ;D

Just watched this episode.

Of course he didn't have time to go into single shots (T/C) firing rifle rounds.

For those who can't watch it, he didn't get knocked on his rear by the .44mag.  He was squatting when he shot it into some ballistic gel.  Not being in a great position he did stumble backwards a bit.  Too bad he didn't do the S&W500 into the ballistic gel.  Also, for those who missed it, Jessie Abbot was a featured guest in the last segment.  (That was twice today, that I knew the name of the feature guest and shouted it out......wife wants to know why I know these ladies' names so well........hey, I watch a lot of TV......... it's my job honey......just my job...... nothing else.)

What I did notice is that sometimes he didn't use eye protection in some of the sequences.  And there were a few continuity issues with the editing, but then since I produce videos, I notice those types of things.

I was wondering who was going to be the first to bring up Jessie........ My gosh, Jessie Abbot and a Glock 18!!!!!! I dont know which gave me a bigger boner!  :o

....I guess I'll be off to the corner now.  :P Hey, if you are gonna go, then you should atleast get your money's worth!

I have my digital cable box DVR to record every episode.  GREAT SHOW!

Those may not have been spent cases in Gunny's ears.  I was a military firearms instructor, and many of the old salts and Marines would prefer sticking a military hard-ball .45 in their ears.  I've done it a few times and they work as well as those ..."faggoty, swabbie ear muffs" (as the Gunny would call them).  :)

You got that maggot?  Now get on your face and give me twenty!

Cigarette filters was another old timers trick. The REAL "Old Salts" made their own plugs with cotton balls and I think it was Bee's wax they used.

I was watching another shooting show just before Lock and Load (also recorded) and it had a segment with Irlene Mandrel.  For those too young to remember the Mandrel sisters where very popular singing group.   Irlene, the youngest, played drums and was a "Cover Girl" at one time.  STRIKE THAT.  She was THE poster girl for Cover Girl.  Anyway, even my wife sat up and took notice at Irlene's segment.

[{ADDED:]   Check out Irlene's home page and biography.
