Thanks, M25,  I don't know why but I had it in my head Anschutz was only "olympic" style stuff.  It is a rather plain stock.

I'll look at it.   That grouping is what I'd like to see.

Meantime, looks like this Friday will be "rimfire" day at the range.   I like to have a theme (purpose) for each visit.

I don't know about the Savage Anschutz, but we shot Anschutz rifles on the Coast Guard rifle team in 1976 and 1977. We kicked the cr$p out of Army, Navy and Air Force. They shot Anschutz rifles as well, we just shot BETTER.

Doesn't help your decission, but sure brought back great memories.

I really like the CZ 452, but you might also look at some of the Savage Anschutz model 10's, imported by savage and plain jane, but a 64 action and heavy barrel, these were underpriced tack drivers.

That is one hell of a rifle. I'd try to contact the seller, through any current auctons he may have open, and see what he wants for it.

Did you contact Savage and ask why with all the hype about their out of the box accuracy yours shoots like crap ?
