Just got my hog back from the butcher...grilled tenderloins tonight with roasted taters and veges from the garden, a little Two Creek Syrah from my friend's hobby vineyard...
Picking up the venison tomorrow....yeah, we've had good hunting these past couple of weeks.

I'M JEALOUS!!!

The Chili was/is GOOD!  Nice and spicy, good flavor, it's a hit in my book.  ;D

Because of weird meeting schedule this week and lots of travel time, I got no supper on Wednesday, had left over hotdish when I got home at 10:30 last night, and you guy's are talking food ... much of it GOOD food  >:(

Just got of the phone with, as MB would call her, the spousal unit, and she was asking if I was coming home so she had to cook.  Doesn't sound like much tonight either.  However, #2 child is coming through on her way to the State Fair next weekend and I'm off then, so I think it may be a good time to put in an order for some of that good beef or pork  ::)

Yup ... Next weekend will be a meat weekend at Mikey's house  ;D

They're having guests, so we should PROBABLY be on our best behavior.   ;D

She's the official "meat lady" in the family!  She's got access to the good stuff in mass quantities, and it has all been good so far.

Anyone spending time with the M's is experiencing lowered expectations already, so let it all most of it hang out  ;D
