Just a thought, but cutting loose a couple of rounds might weaken that plastic wrapping too, if not melt it... just a thought from a former Marine who fixed airplanes and relied on the BFH every so often. :-X

That was something I never under stood. They said if your bayonet got stuck in the ribs just let off a round and blow it loose.
If I had rounds I wouldn't have needed to use the frigging bayonet.

I wouldn't want to bother with it for self defense, But I DO Want one for cool factor. I have a Mossberg 590 that takes an AR15/M16 bayonet.  ;D
