Left Chrysler in April after 13 years. Applied for Park Ranger, Customs, Border Patrol, Immigration and part time teaching positions. Tough market out there at the moment. Figured being a veteran and having a couple of college degrees I would be able to find a job rather easy. Bad timing on my part. Now I am a collector of job denial letters and emails, LOL.  

It is good to be out of control for time to time. That is why I love this forum.

As much as I dislike a lot of my job and the way it messes with personal life, I am thankful for it every time the paycheck doesn't bounce!

Ping, I don't know about you, but Tom and I have an issue with age.  That fifty mark scares a lot of employers.  Another issue for me if I were to ever need it is that my degree is good for one thing and one thing only.  I have friends that have found that out and returned to a business they were burnt out at.  They are both doing fine so far, but I often wonder how much longer they will (can) keep it up.
