In one of the pod casts MB was talking about shooting an IDPA course with BUGs, I THINK it was at the Bloggers shoot.

Well, I've seen the video clip of a pocket pistol side match at a western 3 gun or SASS match (Posted on DRTV's User Uploads secion, I believe.), and i think it'd be a fun one to do with modern hideout guns. Like the Kel-Tec .380 thats in my pocket now. :)

According to what I recall of MB's comments HE had fun.
Seems only sensible any way, IDPA is about your CARRY gun after all.

I'd like this also but only if you are allowed to draw from your pocket. Otherwise it's just the same match with a smaller gun. On the positive side however it gives you a chance to shoot your pocket gun in various scenarios.

The action pistol guys would run these once in a while at my old gun range.  And yes it was draw from where you normally carry.

THAT seems like a real training competition!

You could do a lot of cool things with this...

An IDPA match of course would be fun..... but for a postal match you could do various things such as draw from carry, bullseye match, longrange bullseye (25 yds, 50 yds, or whatever), Point shooting at various yardages, "derringers only" competition, or just about anything else wild and crazy that you could think of.

Now if I could only FIND 380 ammo so I could shoot the match! ::) Well, I guess I could use the Kel-tec .32.....
