So What Could Possibly Go Wrong? - Big Government
« on: August 22, 2009, 07:23:25 AM »
[plagerized from 5th hand]

Let me get this straight. Obama's health care plan will be:

Written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it:
Passed by a Congress that hasn't read it
Signed by a president ...who smokes
Funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes
Overseen by a surgeon general who is obese
Aand financed by a country that is nearly broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

=======================================
On my own note:

Cash for Clunkers
:
Was extremely underestimated
Badly underfunded
Almost bankrupted dealers waiting on red tape
Severely understaffed
Costs more in environmental impact than it will ever save
Hurt minorities by reducing supply of used cars and raising the prices
Hurt charities by reducing donations
and the impact on future production and inflation open to question.
BUT THE GOVERNMENT CLAIMS IT WAS A SUCCESS!

Why not let them run health care?  What could possibly go wrong?

Will work for ammo

Cash for Clunkers WAS a success, it got the camels nose under another tent. Now, not only has Nanny BO nationalized the auto industry and banking industry, he has the Govt. moving in on the used car business.

“What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that the people preserve the spirit of resistance?”

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
