My well worn but reliable, Colt agent, home hybrid comped before I bought it.

My rescued essex frame, GI slide and barrel, it was awful when I bought it and I made a project out of it. I used take off parts from other guns and only a few new parts. Total expenditure is 176.00 including the cost of the pistol, the rest is Sweat equity.

My well worn with me everyday Glock 21 with grip reduction, untold rabbits, coons, snakes, squirrels and 2 white tail.

I'm hugging them right now.

I've got an old shotgun I need to get out, the church I have been going to is sponsoring a trap shoot on the 12th. I need to replace the charging handle (current handle was broken off) and find a way to test out the Vari-choke thingee on the front that looks like a combined comp and breaching tool. Porn once I get the dust off.

I sold one just like it on this board. It was a G17, but same principle. Shot a lot, cleaned when I felt like it, but still went bang every damn time after 15 years of owning it. It wasn't shiny and new, but was the pistol you'd grab if you heared glass breaking at 3 am. I sold it for $350 (which I think is a fair price), but I will say, that the one and only time I had to pull a gun on someone, I was very glad to have it and would have paid awhole lot more right then. A beater gun, is one you trust, don't worry about, and will take anywhere. They do need hugs. ;D

My Glock 17 was purchased in beater condition...... It is a 1st gen and when I got it about 3/4 of the finish had been worn off. I got it for a song, and it has shot like new since I bought it about 9 years ago. I sent it back to the factory about 2 years ago to have the slide and barrel refinished..... Now it looks as good as it shoots. Love the gun....... wish I knew the history on it....... right now it serves as my nightstand gun with 33+1 rounds of Hornady TAP.
