F4U is my favorite...have a model I built years ago on the bookshelf.  I fell in love with the Corsair watching Baa, Baa Black sheep also.  Worked the F-4E for a couple years before switching to the F-16A/B/C/D/E and F.  Guess I got a thing for bent wings.

...and Speed and Angels is "Shit Hot" (for a Navy flick)

Beautifully filmed and mesmerizing. Thanks FullAuto.

Your aircraft choices are the exact ones that I have loved since childhood. The Spitfires and the Battle of Britain captured my imagination at a young age and the P51 Mustang was and is an aircraft that has some of the most beautiful lines ever seen. Both LOOK like they were the perfect flying machines.

Looking at the beauty of modern aircraft I have to go with the FA18.

Thanks, Kid! I have to say that your taste in aircraft is very good too!  ;D

When it comes to jet aircraft, I love the SR 71. If you ever get a chance to go see the air museum outside of Dayton, OH, go. I spent several hours in the WWII section and I never made it to the modern era stuff. It is an impressive collection of planes.
