If he has a family, they are probably lucky he's gone, too. Even Nature tells us not to attack a mom with her pups. You will get bit. He clearly assaulted a child, and that's going to cost him. He will get time to think about how his new room mates will get to slap him, to keep him from crying out at night. When a kids sugar goes low it's hard to control them. But it's the parent's responsibilities, that's where it falls,  not a stupid stranger or the government for that matter.

I don't think you could justify deadly force but I think this is what would happen in my case....

I would have gone to jail with him after I beat his a$$. I am truly happy that I was not there because I would have lost my s^%t. >:(

Where was the toddlers Mom on this one? Had it been my wife........... (she read this story and she said that she would have shot him.)

I'd hope that she kept her gun in purse holster, but knowing her, it's very possible. At the very least she would have done everything in her petite 5'2" frame to beat his butt. They would still be pulling broken off fingernails out of him.

My money's on my baby.
