I agree. That is ridiculous.

You may remember the Westside School shootings in Jonesboro Ar, 12 years ago I believe. Well, I live in that district, and my kids attend school there. I am waiting for the day when I have to go to the shool because my 1st grader drew a picture of a gun. The kids see me reloading, cleaning guns, ect., they are around guns and I hope they never are in a position to be in trouble for it.

Just to ad...gun safety is (as it should be) my #1 priority, all my guns are in a safe. My boy loves guns, and I tell him, "dont point that at anybody" (play guns at this stage).

It is so sad to see the knee-jerk reactions whenever there is a tragedy.

First of all I believe the young ladies 4th amendment right were violated and legal action should be taken (if it can,some states do not allow it, like Mi)If that can not happen  federal authorities need to intercede , More than this form need to be contacted .state senators and congressmen need to be bitched at on a regular baises until these totalitarian tactics stop altogether.

I've been listening to MB's podcast and various other conversations and postings on the SCOTUS taking up the Heller vs. DC case. If we win that case - and I am not as confident on this as some of my brethren on this point - in addition to destroying the anti-gun laws in Illinois etc., we desperately need to start going after the 1st Amendment so that we can express ourselves freely once more and protect young ladies such as this one.

It is LONG past time we took this country back and made it what made us so great again.

We can only hope SCOTUS will get it right. Here in Illinois it will still take an act of God, or get rid of everything north of I-80 . As a part time LEO I can and do carry, but that leaves a lot of good people unarmed. Almost every LEO I know would like to see us become a shall issue state.

Zero tolerance is just another excuse for not having to teach the less than A-B students. So I've been told by the schools in my area . My Granddaughter was sent home because she wore my Detroit Police academy tee shirt. She told them that she wore it because she is proud that her Grandpa was a Detroit Police officer. And this is a nothen Mi. school. I would not let her wear it in Detroit for fear of har saftey.

Zero Tolerence...  sounds like Communism.. Unfortunately, this zero tolerence hurts a lot of good people. For example, if you have a keychain with a small toy gun about the size of a dime, then you will be kicked out of school. Anybody with a brain of common sense could tell that it is obviously a small toy that is plastic, on a keychain, and yet because it looks like a gun.. it's treated the same. ? What is the world coming too?  Really?
