IWB holster for 3 1/16" SP101?
« on: September 07, 2009, 01:15:41 AM »
I've had a 3 1/16" Sp101 for a few years now and love the gun, but I'll admit I don't carry it as often as I do my Glock 26 or Taurus 85CH, primarily because I haven't found an IWB holster for it that I like much.  There are tons of holsters made for the 2" Sp101, but the 3.06" seems to be the redheaded stepchild of the bunch, as far as holstermakers are concerned (I can say that because I'm red, um, AUBURN haired  ;D).

If anyone could point me in the direction of a good IWB holster (to wear just behind my right hipbone, which is where I carry my G26) for the 3.06" SP101 (preferably under a C-note) I'd appreciate it.

I've got the same gun. It's nearly the perfect revolver.

Try Don Hume:

I'm also a big fan of Don Hume leather.
It's good stuff, durable and it's reasonably priced.

If you want custom, Andy Langlois can't be beat.

The Don Humes look good.  Will probably order one soon.  Can't beat an Okie made holster :).

Bingo. They are great and the shipping time is pretty quick to our neck of the woods. ;D

Look here, too.  http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/.  I have one for my XD and one for my Paras. Yep, all three Paras can use the one holster. Very comfortable - I sometimes wear it over ten hours w/o any issues.  Comes in horsehide which is more impervious to moisture than cowhide.

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

Try FIST holsters.  They will make it your way.  Quality product.

Can't wait till it gets here.

I love this holster so far.  I actually prefer thumbbreak holsters, but this one seems secure and it holds the SP in close to my body.  Great value, too.
