Yea Mike that one has my eye as well, I just can't see through the peep so I'm opting for the standard sight group.  Maybe add a scope base and scope later on..

I know no one will talk me out of it, I was hoping someone else had some experience with them.  I've read alot about the accutrigger, seems like a great design!

Alf, please explain why.  Is the laminate a more stable stock material or does the heavy barrel make that much of a difference?

Short, heavy barrel.   Just my, highly unscientific opinion, but I like bull barrels.....floating, well made, nicely crowned, bull barrels.   My, again highly unscientific, opinion is, that in a .22lr, most any stock will do, as long as it supports the gun firmly during firing and doesn't touch the barrel.   Heavier calibers and weather related conditions might favor one stock over another.    And of course you want a stock shape that's suited to the type of shooting.   But shape and construction shouldn't be mutually exclusive.

Thanks Alf but you've raised another question.  If the the forend of the stock isn't touching the barrel, what is?  Is the bedding material an adhesive or is the barrel resting in a seperate fixed point?

In a "free float barrel NOTHING supports the barrel, the theory is that the barrel is allowed to return to it's point of origin naturally, humidity or temperature variations acting on the stock will not effect the point of impact if the stock doesn't touch the barrel.
