No Alf, the article goes on to mention Albany, NY and other upstate towns.  Freehold NY is in Green County, southwest of Albany in the Catskills of NY state.

Oh my.   You are so right.   I just dropped to the bottom of the quote and saw Freehold and jumped to the conclusion they meant NJ.    Obviously, if I had bothered to read the whole article they were referring to the quaint, un-incorporated "hamlet" of Freehold within the city of Greenville, NY, how could I have missed that?

Again, Matthew Shepard and the God Hates Fags guy woke a lot of these people up. Same with anti-choice terrorists shooting doctors and clinic workers waking up feminists. Its like a jewish girl I dated in high school put it to her anti-gun mother when she bought a pistol at 18 (legal then) "I'd rather carry a .357 than wear a yellow star". GOD BLESS TEXAS!!!! Reaffirms my desire to never go to or EVER live in NY.

+1 No permit needed, no fingerprints taken, no registration to the local PD or Sheriff. Your only limitation is your bank account.  You don't even need a concealed carry permit to carry in your car. The only thing missing is open carry, and we're working on that now.
