im glad that i dont have any of the more uncommon rounds.

im chambered in 9mm, .45 and .223

what more dose a man need?

You're in Montana man!!!!!!! You have some of the best upland hunting in the US plus deer and elk. Not owning a 12 gauge and some form of mule deer/elk whacker is like not owning a fly rod. What's the point of living there. Get thee a Savage in .300 Win mag and a versatile 12 in your choice of configuration and take advantage of the paradise you live n!

Forgot to add one of the best cartridges ever.
The Swedish Mauser 6.5x55 developed in 1891.  Older than the 30-30, 7x57, 30.06, and .45 auto.  The original 8mm Mauser I think predates it by a couple of years, but the I think the 8mm was changed not unlike the .30-03 became the 06 we all know.  The 6.5 will take virtually anything in North America and much of what the rest of the world has to offer.  It's paper ballistics belie what it is readly capable of doing.  It is truly a great cartridge with little recoil, phoenominal penetration, and outstanding accuracy.

Is that 6.5 Swede easy to find? My dad had one back in the early 80's and said he traded it towards a pistol because he couldn't hardly find ammo for it.

Easier now than it used to be, but it's still not something you will find at Wally World. Better if you reload for it.

Jakel, as a professor of Con law, you don't have a sawed off anything. You might own an 18 inch riot gun that is perfectly legal. You own nothing else. You have never heard of hacksaws. If it were me, I would delete that post.
