Right! As a good libertarian, when a poltician (Cheney or Pelosi, same animal as far as I'm concerned) starts talking about taking responsibility for freedom of speech and how we need to balance freedom of speech with safety (presumably for her) its time to start buying ammo. Its cheaper than a lawyer and more effective. And if that reminds you of the "late seventies" good! I just hope you are smart enough to realize I want to remind you of the late seventeen seventies when we knew how to balance "safety and freedom"! I'll be sending you a Gadsen flag, but I don't think you'd get it.

Actually, Miz Pelosi is concerned that the good voters of this country are going to take away her Speaker's gavel in November.  Then she'll just be a regular ole Representative.  And, the Fates be tempted, maybe the voters of CA will wake up and vote her out of office period!

Pelosi said it reminded her of her San Francisco hometown in 1978, when a disgruntled member of the city Board of Supervisors assassinated Mayor George Moscone and openly gay Supervisor Harvey Milk.

What San Fran Nan neglects to mention is that the shooter in that case, which by the way gave her the opportunity to run for Mayor herself, was also gay, and what he was disgruntled about was a rejection by one of the victims.
It is also interesting to note that the shooter was convicted of a lesser charge having based his defense on an "overdose" of Twinkies.

I think it would be a very hard sell, but I don't put it past her/them to try it while they have control.
