What other countries block I couldn't care less about.

As far as the MS / Yahoo tiff, how did it get settled?  There is no government agency now and I am betting yahoo does not block Hotmail anymore so how did it get straightened out?

As far as p2p well that opens a nother can of worms with copyright laws and the RIAA.  If carriers decide not to do p2p that is their right and you can switch to another carrier.

I am just flat against government intrusion of any form.  Give 'em an inch and they take a mile, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, nose under the tent flap, etc.

You need to be concerned about that Haz, because Chinese net censorship is carried out with the active cooperation of companies like Google and Yahoo.

Your area may be different but up here we have ONE cable provider It's Metrocast or dial up

Yes I have several choices here but you have two.  Dial up is slower but they probably have DSL and that is not too slow.

As to Google and Yahoo cooperating with censorship in other countries all we can do is not use their services and let the market place decide their fate.  You know, capitalism.
