This was filmed around June 19, 2009 at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ.

Lyrics
========
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that all must lend a hand [?]
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be clear today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said Red, Yellow, Black or White
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
Yes
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama

Y'know, when I was a kid, and just learning to be a libertarian, I got pushed strongly in that direction by the cult of Reagan. In hindsight I realize he was, in balance, a good President despite some serious shortcomings. At the time though, in junior high and high school, I was fed a steady diet of "just say no" abstinence only" and other BS. It was jammed down my throat from my high school and junior high school principals on a daily basis. It pushed me so far away from the GOP that I still have a reflexive distrust of the party. It doesn't stop me from voting GOP, but I still remember those school assemblies where I felt like an extra in "Triumph of The Will". Again, not a knock on Reagan who was a good president, just overeager school administrators. They didn't seem to understand that even 14 year old's don't trust folks who say "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you".They also didn't get the fact that while we weren't into politics, we knew when we were being fed the party line. The point is this. I would bet dollars to doughnuts that at least half of those kids will react the same way I did and never vote Dem without a damn good reason as a result of this BS. They will have learned not to love "the man" but to distrust authority. Good for them.

I have to say that is disturbing but I can see some of the "draw."  My oldest has started thinking for herself (at 15, so there IS hope for the future) and regularly picks up on the BS and asks WTF?

The youngest (6) is somewhat obsessed with Obummer but for a very basic and understandable (for a 6 y/o) reason.  When the elections were going on the school sent home a Newsweek for Kids (or something like it I forget) and it had a list of McCain and Obummer's hobbies and favorite sports/foods/etc.  Her decision was based on that; Obummer liked a lot of the same things she did (pizza, basketball...) "If he likes what I like than he must be OK."  Not issue based but logical for her age.

I think FQ is  right to some extent.  A lot of kids are either going to "drink the kool-aid" or "Not a chance in hell."  It's the middle ground kids that will make the difference.
When seconds mean the difference between life and death, the police will be minutes away.

You are either SOLVING the problem, or you ARE the problem.

Hallelujah and pass the Kool-Aid (the poison kind, not the Glock or Kel-Tec kind)!
Everything I needed to learn in life I learned from Country Music.

FQ, are you kidding me?  ???  Did you look at the video?  ???

These kids are like second graders (third grade at the most).  They are not secondary school kids who have had the chance of having developed a “Sh*t from Shinola” detector.

Kids of the age in the video accept what they are taught at face value – they have no filters.

When you put it to music, rhyme or beat and it becomes even more memorable to kids.

Barack Hussein Obama

Mmm, mmm, mm!

Does this sound familiar to a song many of us were taught in Sunday school?

If you didn’t go to Sunday school how about doesn’t it sound like a “Pledge of Allegiance” to Obama Maximus.  A pledge from 7 or 8 year olds!

It is not innocent, it is dangerous!

All Hail Obama Maximus!  Everyboby sing, this time with feeling..."Mmm, mmm, mm!"
"Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it, misdiagnosing it and then misapplying the wrong remedies." (Groucho Marx)

All I'm saying boys is that heavy handed propaganda from the state will either cause you to win big or lose big. When you play this game you don't play small. Either it works or it bites you in the ass in a serious way. Remember Ababedinjad's (sic and I don't care, screw him) comment that "there are no homosexuals in Iran" comment? He was addressing a mostly respectful audience at NYU and they all broke out in belly laughs. Far more effective than any heckler could ever be. Same with BO or any President, We don't do cults of personality here very well. We tend to tear down and ridicule our leaders. This both a good thing and a bad thing for reasons I don't need to explain, but it has been an American thing since the days of the Revolution. Just watch late night TV if you doubt me. I think that teacher took a class of 8 year olds who will look at that video their moms recorded ten years from now and be both embarrassed and pissed. I doubt any of them will feel less than used when they hit voting age even if they agree with the Dems, they may vte the party, but they will be cured of any personality cult. The ridicule of their peers and the teenage need to rebel against authority will cure them of that. The American culture will reinforce it. We love our heroes, but we love to see them fail even more. That's just part of the American culture. I ain't worried (nauseated, but not worried).  So Eric, consider this source and tell me where I'm wrong.

FQ, If that were true then why did Lenin say , "If we begin training them when they are young they will be ours forever. "
While what you say MAY apply to High School students in the context of the kids in this video it  is BS.
Come to think of it, since you are IN education, you have to be aware that the preteens are the "formative years". This casts your post in to the realm of "Disinformation".
