All I'm saying boys is that heavy handed propaganda from the state will either cause you to win big or lose big. When you play this game you don't play small. Either it works or it bites you in the ass in a serious way. Remember Ababedinjad's (sic and I don't care, screw him) comment that "there are no homosexuals in Iran" comment? He was addressing a mostly respectful audience at NYU and they all broke out in belly laughs. Far more effective than any heckler could ever be. Same with BO or any President, We don't do cults of personality here very well. We tend to tear down and ridicule our leaders. This both a good thing and a bad thing for reasons I don't need to explain, but it has been an American thing since the days of the Revolution. Just watch late night TV if you doubt me. I think that teacher took a class of 8 year olds who will look at that video their moms recorded ten years from now and be both embarrassed and pissed. I doubt any of them will feel less than used when they hit voting age even if they agree with the Dems, they may vte the party, but they will be cured of any personality cult. The ridicule of their peers and the teenage need to rebel against authority will cure them of that. The American culture will reinforce it. We love our heroes, but we love to see them fail even more. That's just part of the American culture. I ain't worried (nauseated, but not worried).  So Eric, consider this source and tell me where I'm wrong.

Pa-Leese!  The country can't wait 10-years to see if these kids become self-aware and reject this crap!

* There is a willing press that has willing rejected their once cherished function to keep the government honest.

* The teachers unions are willing to advance liberal values.

* There are parents who are too self-absorbed to care.  There are parents who actually think the government owes them something.

* There is the National Endowment of the Arts who is working with the White House to promote art to support Obama’s goals.

* There are groups like ACORN who coordinating efforts in support of Obama.

* There is big money behind Obama.

* There are lawmakers lined up to steamroll legislation through Congress.

This is not a liberal vs. conservative issue - this is about values, liberty and freedom!

Smell the coffee, man!

You only need to wait three watchman. IF the GOP can get its act toghther and put up a real candidate as opposed to McCain-Feingold or someone who has been drinking the "movement"  (no comment) Kool-aide. Find another Reagan, they win. Give us a Romney (McCain lite) or a guitar strumming Huckabee (Falwell lite) and they lose. Personally, I don't see a lot of contenders, but three years is a long time. I hope for the best. Obama was a vote against. I genuinely pray to have someone to vote FOR in 2012. Hell even the Libertarian candidate was more of a jackass than either McCain or BO in '08. It makes you want to scream.

The problem is, since you have exhibited that you are sexist, even the one in the Republican part closest to a Reagan wouldn't win your approval.  You talk the talk, yet vote for the Obamanation.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Can't wait 3-years.  It has to begin with the mid-term Congressional elections next year!

Sexist? One question. If Hillary had won the nomination, would you have voted for her? If the answer is no, either call yourself a sexist or reconsider that accusation. Just sayin'. ;D

My vote against Hillary would have been based on her proven record, just like my vote against Obama was. FQ claims to be a Libertarian yet espouses irrational hatred of the only one of the 4 who supported smaller Govt., lower taxes, and other alleged "Libertarian" values. He condemns Palin's "Lack of experience" yet voted for a proven socialist of even less experience. FQ derides the lack of foreign policy experience of Palin, who had been involved in negotiations with Canadian and Russian officials, while voting for some one who had never dealt with even inter STATE affairs. FQ's claims of non sexist attitudes, and having voted "against" ring hollow.

THey can ring anyway you want Tom, but Palin just rubs me the wrong way. The same way that Kerry and Romney did. It maybe irrational, and I will admit that, but sometimes you just meet someone you simply do not trust. Your mileage may vary and lets not get into yet another why I love/hate Sarah thread. Just accept that for reasons having nothing to do with sexism that I do not like her Sam I am. ;)
