OK guys,

What bullet did this?

Penetrated the block head-on until ~ 3.7" when the bullet flipped unto its side. At this point the maximum permanent cavity was 0.5" until ~ 6.7" penetration depth, when the bullet turned either point-forward or base-forward and exited the back of the block at 16.0" penetration depth. Bullet was not recovered.

Seems a little vague.

Seeing as how the other rounds in the gelatin seem to be from a handgun, I think that is something to consider. I would also think it would be a jacketed bullet.

There are a lot of rounds that will shoot through a block of gelatin, so I have no idea.

Just for Badger, I'll say a .22.

Since saying would make it too easy I'll go with a .22 out of a centerfire rifle.  All of those high power .22's get really unstable when they hit stuff if they don't fragement.

Cartridge : Aguila Sniper SubSonic 60 grain lead round nose

Firearm : Ruger 10/22 rifle with 18.5" barrel length.

I didn't think a rimfire could tumble that much and still go through that much mass.  The size of the wound channel is huge, and it had to take a lot of energy to cut through that.

 Being subsonic I'm surprised. Looks like they should work out for you in any thing that will cycle them, not just the NAA.
Should be reasonably accurate as well since they are not being destabilized by the sound barrier.

They're weird look'n little things!  I think they use a .22 cb, or bb case and put a freakishly long bullet in place.  I've tried them in my (2) 10/22's and they cycle fine.  Havent tried them in the Mark III yet though.
